Two-week observership program - 3D surgery of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye

Location: Special Hospital for Ophthalmology "Prof Dr Džinić"
A mini observership program intended for ophthalmologists, who are interested in getting better acquainted with the surgical treatment of cataracts using a 3D visualisation system and a digital marker for the installation of premium lenses (toric, EDOF, multifocal).
In the course of two weeks, young ophthalmologists will have the opportunity to learn about the pre-operative preparation of patients, the approach to surgical treatment of cataracts with the implantation of so-called “premium” lenses using digital marker, as well as the surgical treatment of complicated cataracts with diseases of the posterior segment of the eye and combined procedures with pars plana vitrectomy. All surgical interventions will be performed using the Ngenuity 3D visualisation system.

Two-week observership program – Corneal laser refractive procedures and intraocular refractive surgery

Location: Private eye hospital "Professional"

Mini observership program dedicated to young ophthalmologists, who are interested in refractive surgery and who wish to get familiar with different refractive procedures, but dont have the possibilities to observe that in their institutions.
During the two weeks, young ophthalmologists will have the chance to get familiar with all modalities of corneal refractive surgery (TransPRK surface ablations, Femto LASIK procedure, keratorefractive lenticule extractions), refractive lens exchange procedures and different types of presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses

Two-week observership program - Cataract and glaucoma surgery

Venue: Special Hospital for Ophthalmology “Belgrade Ophthalmological Center”

Mini observership program intended for young ophthalmologists, who are interested in operative treatment of cataract – phacoemulsification. Participants who want to get better acquainted with different surgical techniques, but do not have the opportunity for education in the field of cataract surgery in their home institutions.
In the course of two weeks, young ophthalmologists will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the preparation of patients for operative treatment of cataracts, calculating the power of the intraocular lens (biometrics – various formulas), surgical operative techniques and postoperative monitoring of patients.
